Recently bought a Belkin router from PC world. Asked one of the staff if it was compatible with Orange broadband and the person in question wasn't sure. I purchased the router and surprise surprise, when I opened it I found out it wasn't compatible.
Can I get money back even though I've opened all of the packaging and slightly ripped the box it came in?

dsg group policy is dogey at the best of time, just check out the www.grumbletext.co.uk website.

HOWEVER because you aske an " expert ", you can claim that it was mis-sold to you because you asked their advice, thats what there are they for afterall!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Go on about training needs, the hassle you have had and that you want to exchange to a router that works......keep this going until to get what you want, even to the store manager.

But please go in clam, poilte, as they have alot of complaints and " close ranks " to these that " scream and shout "

Hope this helps

You are entitled to a refund if the product is not "fit for the purpose" even if it was an unsual one. Since you stated that you wanted to be used with Orange and it didnt you are entitled to a refund so long as you have not "accepted" the goods. PC World give you 28 days to accept the goods.

Orange should work though, not sure why its not working. Might be worth giving them a call before going back to pc world

You should be able to if you have the receipt, PC world are not the best firm as far as customer relations go, as you found out their usual answer is "i'm not sure", or "Yes it does" even when it doesn't.

Only if the item is faulty can you legally get a full refund under the sale of goods act. They are not obliged to give you anything and invariably though they may offer vouchers, Take them they wont offer better............

merely take it decrease back, you receives an finished refund providing it truly is interior of seven days of purchase and also you've were given the recipt, and that the faults were no longer distinct even as purchaseing. eg, displayed as defective damaged printer, with or devoid of distinct faults. you cant take it decrease back then. Yellow is often the only which see's the most use, it truly is blended with different shades. my HP printer makes use of the yellow ink when I print in black! (inspite of if i go with black merely!)
