Personally, I loved Weight Watchers. Lost a little over thirty pounds on it and it's great. I don't have the time to go to meetings, so I do the online program and it works like a charm. They structure it so that you don't loose weight too fast and you do so safetly. You could try it free now (I think the promotion's still going on) and then if you don't like it, you can try something else. I just find it helps to be accountable to something - even the online system - to keep me motivated.

Well sweety i can relate all too well. I put on 115 pounds with my son, I started at 110 and ended at 225 pounds. I suggest exersize, maybe a personal trainer. Walking, yago....I did alot of yoga and baby yago to include my son in my weight loss. It is hard i know but it will come off, slowly but it will come off if you eat right, exersize, and think positive about the situation. If you go into this thinking of failure, then you have already been beaten. I currently weigh 125 pounds to show it does come off.

Good luck my dear, also it took me 1 and a half years to lose it all...Jenn

Ok, first off, stop BLAMING your son for your weight. "He MADE me put on 60 extra lbs" is so totally beside the point.

You HAVE extra weight. You need to get it off. Start an excersize program you can do at home. And stop looking for overnight miracles.

A few years ago, I started a new job. As a way to force myself to get more exercise, I started walking from the parking lot to the building. About a half mile. (Yeah, they provide a shuttle, but like I said, I wanted to force myself to get the exercise. ) Along with that I cut back on carbs, fats and snacks. (I didn't STOP eating then, I ate what I wanted, but i cut back on those things which are bad for weight.) When it comes to sweets, I have them now and then but I don't go overboard. I have them on the weekends, like a reward for my walking all week.

In no time I was walking that half mile very easily so I added another half mile. I recommend this to everyone I can see. Eat sensibly. In about a year, I weighed myself ot see how I was doing. I had lost 50 lbs. HOLY CRA- Yeah, 50 lbs. It happened slowly, but as long as I kept it up, I knew I was doing ok. So, I also recommend you stop looking at the scales. As long as you're eating better and working out regular, then you don't need to constantly look at the scale.

Now, I'm over 50. And if I can do it, anyone can. Here is a quick way to figure it. Even walking at a slow pace, the average person covers a mile in under 30 min. Go out your front door and walk briskly (without hurting yourself) for 15 minutes. At that time, turn around and walk back. You've easily covered a mile. Do this every day, drink plenty of water and cut back on foods which you know are bad for you. CUT BACK - NOT OUT.

Good luck!

I can relate to you as I also had 50 pounds to loose. I did Weight watchers and it worked for me I lost 50+ pounds. Hang in there I know is hard!
But if you can't afford WW you can also do your part by exercising and eating healthy meals.
Good luck

There's a weight loss cookie that's...get this...chocolate chip. YOu can find nutrition info about it on the right hand side of this page. A pdf document named "Snackguidelines" I think.
The site is http://www.weight-here-please.com
So you can snack on the healthy cookie while you lose the weight.
