I think he definitely has potential to be a great champion in UFC. You never know in this sport though. I honestly don't think the current heavyweight champion can beat him.

First, save for the UFC, his name is Mirko Filipovic.

and second why just say "i don't". Why don't you?

He comes in with a professional 22-4 record, with two losses by decision, 1 submission and 1 ko. His oppenents list is a who's-who at the top of MMA. Check current neutral site world rankings:

Which UFC Heavyweight is going to beat him? Tim Sylvia would'nt last half of a round. Sylvia has a lot of heart but he is sloppy and not physically fit at all. The UFC is starved for heavyweights.

Cro-cop last year won the Pride Grand Prix, which is like old-school UFC, except besides multiple fights in the same night, all of the opponents are at the top of the sport.

Do a little research, watch some Mirko previous matches and tell me where his problems lie- After you've seen him.....In the clinch, On the ground, Mounted, In the Guard etc...

Of course...

The man has all the tools necessary to do so with ease. He's definitely the most well-rounded striker in the UFC heavyweight division with his experience not only in the Pride Fighting Championships, but in K-1 as well. He has solid hands and throws a left kick that makes most viewers cringe when they hear the impact.

As far as his ground game, he's taken on two of the better heavyweight grapplers in Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Josh Barnett. Even though he lost to Nogueira, you aren't going to find a heavyweight fighter in the UFC with his grappling ability, so from that perspective I believe Crocop is pretty safe. He's also developed a very strong sprawl, which is probably all the defense he'll need.

Mirko's only weaknesses lie in his patience and his over-reliance on his kicking ability. When things don't go his way, he tends to get careless and frustrated and in some cases he can even get cocky, which can and has worked against him. But, don't be surprised when that belt's around his waist later this year...

Yes, I think he has a great shot (or should I say high kick). The heavyweight divison is getting better with the addition of Randy and Heath, but I don't think it's good enough to stop Cro Cop. I just hope that Dana doesn't wait until it's time to renew his UFC contract to let him have a title shot.

Well I think he has the potential. He seems to approach fights in a methodical manner that scares his opponents so he definitely gets in their head (doesn't ever seem to smile either). Plus he follows up with very quick kicks that seem to do a lot of damage. I don't think he would allow Sylvia's size to bother him in the least and will methodically study him and his style working towards his goal of taking him out. Does that mean I find him to be super interesting to watch. Not exactly. His kicks are pretty cool, but the machine-like quality is kind of boring. However, one cannot argue with his ability.

I think he would be able to beat Sylvia because Sylvia would not be able to stop those nasty kicks. I think if Coutore gets past Sylvia that Cro Cop would have a harder time beating a good wrestler.

I think cro cop's opponents will know what it felt like to be all the foreign basketball teams who had to face the FIRST U.S. olympic bball professional dream team.
