In Addition to Frank D's list, Michael Moorer became the first southpaw to hold the World Heavyweight Title (won vacant WBO belt beating Bert Cooper in 1991). He has held pieces of the title from various sanctioning bodies.

However, Michael was a Monster at 175lbs. He started fighting in early 1988 and before 1988 ended Michael was the WBO Light Heavyweight Champion in only his 12th Professional Fight.

Joe Calzaghe is arguably the most prominent southpaw champion presently, but in these fractured times Ricky Hatton has fought two 'world-champions' who fight southpaw in his last two fights.

Luis Collazo and Juan Urango.

Marvin Hagler was a fearsome southpaw. And world champion at middleweight for the more than seven years.
