I would say that you could try to be outdoors more. If it wintertime where you live then perhaps you could take up skiing or x-country skiing. If you have kids, then try to do things outside with them, like skating, building a snowman etc. You get the idea. I don't think tanning salon are so great, there is nothing like natural sunshine, even when it's cold out. Even taking a walk everyday will enhance your mood. Here's to spring!

Get out into the sun whenever possible. Even if it's cold - get some sun on your body. Also - they make ultraviolet lights for plants - get one and put it where you will be affected by it.
Or you could move to Arizona - where it is sunny over 300 days a year and this week it will be in the mid to high 70's :)

My sister suffers from this idsorder. She tries not to take medication, so she had decorated her home in bright colors and she has lots of lamps and uses bright lightbulbs in her overhead lights. She has bright cheerful things through out the home, no dark woods or colors. Lots of blues, whites, yellows, she has a seashell theme in her bathroom to remind her of the ocean and sun. She goes to tanning beds, only during the winter and for a very short ammount of time, but she says it helps her. She goes twice to three times a week for like 10 minutes. She also makes herself go for walks even in teh bitter cold, when it is sunny. She lives in Illinois. I hope these help. Good luck.

You are talking about the wintetime blues right? Well, that is caused by a deficiency in vitamin d. We need sunlight, in order for our bodies to produce it, and in the wintertime, we don't receive as much sun. A solutuion to your blues would be to give yourself some artificial sun. Try a tanning bed or heat lamp. That should do the trick. Or...try to get as much natural sunlight as you can. Good luck!

They have a certain type of light source that can be used right in your lamp. I think this is a HUGE issue. I also know that there is a site on here telling all about it, I don't know that name, but someone had showed me a paper about it.

Keep the room brightly lit, and use incandescent bulbs. They most resemble sunlight.

Live in a tanning booth all year round.
Your skin may be fried and crispy, but at least your "mood" is happy.
