I backed my car out to the driveway where i can close the gate, at the time when I stopped moving to shift to Parking, a car hit my rear bumper with his front passanger corner.
Cop came and took report, but didn't say whose fault it is.
Who is at fault? and because I only have liability insurance, will I have to cover his damage if i am at fault?
My insurance agent told me to contact the other's insurance company and file a claim. Report the statement that I am at rest while a lost control car hit me. However, he also told me there are some chance, but in most cases like this i will lose.

How does a car hit your bumper with it's door? If they didnt open the door into your car... than means you backed into their car and there is a good chance you will be at fault. Dont worry though. Your liability insurance covers you for damage to other peoples vehicles. File a claim against the other drivers insurance and see what happens.
Good luck.

You're leaving way too much out here. Did this take place in your driveway, or on the road? Was any part of your car out of your driveway and on the road? If yes, and you were or had been backing up, this will be your fault and your insurance will cover his, but not your, damage. Just make a report to your insurance company and let them handle it. That's what they are there for.

You need to be much more specific in order for us to give you a reasonable answer. This other vehicle... were they travelling down the road you were about to enter at the time of the accident? Or were they attempting to enter the driveway while you exited?
TO make a long story short.. you are going to be partially (if not fully) at fault. You had more duty to yield to the other driver as you were backing out the driveway (if they were just travelling down the road at the time of loss... you are 100% at fault.)
Only way they will truly be 100% at faut is if you were sitting still and they ADMIT to just travelling forward and hitting your parked vehicle... it aint gonna happen.
If you are found at fault.. your liability insurance will pay for their damages but not your damages.

Was your back end hanging into the street? If so, you should be at fault. If not, and the other car came into the approach and hit you like that, you shouldn't be at fault.
Because you have liability insurance, that will cover the other car's damage and medical (if needed). You will have to pay to fix your own car if you are at fault. His/her insurance company will have to pay you to fix your car if they are at fault.

i believe when you are backing out of a driveway, it is your responsibility to "yield" or pay attention. so i think the guy that hit you're rear bumper may not be found at fault. it's the same as if you're parked, and you open your driver's side door, and a car driving by hits it. it's considered your fault.

Thats a tough one. You probably were not found at fault by the police department because the collison occurred on private property. It also depends if you live in a no-fault state (like where I live, Pennsylvania). Your insurance agent if the one to talk to, not Yahoo answer board.

If you are backing out into a road then you have to give way to all traffic, you must have pulled out in front of him 4 him to have hit u.liability insurance means his damage will be covered but the damage to your car wont be.

How long was your vehicle stopped prior to the impact?
Was your car on your property or in the roadway at impact?
If it happened in the roadway, was your vehicle on your side of the roadway (where your driveway is) or the opposite side of the roadway, or smack dab in the middle?
Chances are you're at fault, but based upon how you answer these questions, liability may be shared between the two of you.

I've always heard that a ticket will not issued if the incident takes place on private property. (This is Florida talking)
Unfortunately, this law varies from state to state and no clear answer can be given unless we know in which state you live.
I suppose a quick phone call to your local law enforcement should answer the question immediately.
