Anesthesiologists are medical doctors who give you anesthesia during surgery. They make sure you're getting enough oxygen, aren't losing too much blood...
They usually work in hospitals in the surgery area.

They put people "to sleep" during surgery...they are Doctors, with highly specialized training...they work mostly in hospitals. Once you become a Doctor, then you would need to specialize in anthesthesiology...
