So you claim your god is omnipresent and omnipotent... the picture of perfection. The definition of perfection indicates finality, therefore, why would god NEED anything, specifically us. Perfection denotes a lack of need, so why create us at all? Specifically, why create us with the purpose of worshipping "god"?
Would not worship denote desire and therefore imperfection, even so much as an ego?
And none of that "just because" or "we arent meant to know" crap, you believe he created us in his image, obviously not physically because we were "designed" for a physical earth (eyes, nose, mouth: Sensory perception and nutrient accrueing).

Come on people, I'm trying to institute a logical conversation of ideas, no one wants to provide a counter arguement?
PS: Desire is a by-product of need (necessity) therefore any desire of "god" for us would be via a form of necessity (boredom, despotism, etc...)

God created us for eternal fellowship with Him.
"The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Because God wanted our fellowship and companionship. It's pretty lonely at the top when you're perfect! Sure, He could have just created a bunch of "Yes Men" or robots, but He didn't want that. He wanted only people who would consciously choose to be with Him because they LOVED Him and could appreciate Him as their Creator. All humans were created with an innate knowledge of God's existence (although some people have fallen away from it), but not everyone will choose to be with Him. We worship God and give Him glory because He DESERVES it! We are created in God's image, and all of us need love, therefore God needs love, too.

I think your definition of perfection is a part of the problem here. But even if we use your definition, isn't it possible for God to choose to create something to love (us) without that creation coming from a need?
This is a lousy forum for dialogue so claiming you want discussion is kind of loose. Nevertheless, Your definition of perfection is set so as to define God out of existence. It would be like me saying that you are an animal because real humans desire to know God and since you don't desire to know God - you must not be human. I might sound intelligent since I have a definition, but the reality is a false definition used to control discussion only results in false discussions. So don't worry you are not really an animal. (And God really does exist.)

Good question. Who knows? I dont think he requires us, but How would you entertain yourself for eternity? Perhaps create a very complex system like the universe.(perhaps several) And populate it with beings who are given freewill so they dont act like robots.
We are said to be like his children. He desires communication and recognition from us. We are complete people before children but we have more depth after children and enjoy relationship. Perhaps enjoying relationshp is part of the in his image?
And expanding on created in his image. In the same way a polaroid picture is to the real thing we have less dimentions (depth or time) how many more dimentions may God have than we can imagine, perhaps he is even expanding and creating more oh himself???

"Perfection denotes a lack of need" - it does not denote a lack of desire.
Does the creator of the universe not have a right to some entertainment? That's were we come in.

Even tho Adamn & Eve supposedly f*cked up the finished backyard of Eden element, that change into meant to ensue. If existence were acceptable and we were acceptable, there should be no element in earth. we may besides all have stayed in Heaven if that were the case. Earth is meant to be perplexing and people are meant to sin, thats the finished lesson. Thats what existence is about, dealing with demanding circumstances and transforming into from them. existence is a lesson, no longer meant to be acceptable.

Part of the perfect thing in God is you. Just as He does not exist to anyone or anything that do not exist. So to all that exist He becomes perfect because We are all contained in what is called God. To create a perfect puzzle needs to have all the imperfcet shape to fit in to the slot just as God is perfect because you, me, he, she, they, them, it are the imperfect things that complete Him because He is not separate from us...He is within us all.

He doesn't need us, our prayers, our adoration or anything we can give. He simply loves us. We go to church not to worship God but to get something from him, to become more sanctified. God is sovereign, and as such he needs nothing. He created us to share his greatness and show his grace. He is a gracious God and because of his grace he rightfully deserves praise and glory. Do I have to praise and glorify him to be justified? No, but I do because I love him because he first loved me. It's funny, I'm not telling you this because I think God needs a defense. He doesn't. I do it for your understanding so that you may someday enjoy and understand his gift.

God does not need us.
As for his reason in the first place for creating us, it is to worship Him.
He is perfect.
Man was created in His image--eyes, ears, nose, genitalia, etc.
Woman was created from man.
We don't claim to know EVERYTHING about God and we never will here on earth.
Some things are beyond our comprehension, even yours.
