This may sound like a stupid question but how can you treat dry mouth? Im taking medication that makes my mouth extremely dry and its not fun having a dry, sticky mouth when you want to kiss your girl. I suppose gum is the way to go but im not much of a gum chewer. Any suggestions?

I take medications that frequently cause dry mouth and I wash my teeth 2-3 times a day if I have dry mouth and I keep some water close by where I can drink when I need to for it because as long as your on medication you will have that happen and it may lessen but you'll always have an issue with it. In time you'll get more used to it.

Depending on the medication, it sounds like it's dehydrating you. Drink ample amounts of water. I mean lots and lots!!!! Also, drink gatorade or powerade (I'm not endorsing either). The salts and electrolytes will help rehydrate you. But do not neglect water. Your body is 70% water, and it could always use a fresh supply! Oh, did I mention water?

There is a mouth spray "Oasis" they have it at Walgreens, Walmart, etc. and they also have the mouth rinse. I hope this helps. My husband uses it and he says his mouth stays moist longer than just drinking water. Hope this helps !

There are medications available to help this, and you don't need a prescription for them. Ask your pharmacist.

echinacea root, will my you salivate and is actually good for your teeth. just tastes nasty!! get an liquid exctract of it
