Well the pagan side of my religion is originally 1,000s years old, prior to Christianity but with a new age twist so kind of old, kind of young. The Christian side of course is a little over 2,000 years old. So no new, fake religions for me such as Scientology or the Hollywood version of Kabalah.

The age of a religion is not necessarily equivalent to the Truth. Indeed, the older the sacred writings can be, the more difficult and strange they seem to be, in spite of the fact that they may hold some of the truth..

Approximately 6,000 years. Abel was the first one. We read in Hebrews 11:4 - "By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh."

Jehovah's Witnesses have existed from that time onward. As Hebrews 12:1 states: "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of Witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us."

We were reorganized into an active group in the late 1870's, and the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society was formed at that time to help us carry out our commission. (Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20)

Deism dates back to the latter half of the 17th Century. That's when some enlightened humans finally started rejecting belief systems based on miracles, revelations, and books "written by God" in favor of using the brains and powers of reason and scientific exploration that God gave us.

Deists believe in God. We just don't believe in religion.
