Strength training will help, but in order to lose fat (no matter where it is) diet and exercise are your two best weapons. Diet is common sense -- you know what's bad for you and what's good for you, so eat more of the "good for you" stuff and keep the "bad for you" stuff to a minimum. Eating six small meals or snacks per day, as opposed to eating three square meals per day, will help ramp up your metabolism too. As for exercise, you can walk as much as you want, but don't do aerobic exercise for more than 40 minutes at a time or you risk burning muscle instead of fat. Good luck!

There are many factors that go into depositing belly fat. You must go backwards on those factors. So analyze what you do to deposit that belly fat. Generically speaking, you must include cardio or aerobic workouts and change your diet so you do not ingest have any form of hydrogenated fats (also called trans fats), eat a balanced diet high in veges, fruits, nuts, and whole grains. Like math take in less calories and start burning more.

Dumb bells are muscle builders where as cardio like kickboxing will help burn calories and fat another thing besides doing like a bootcamp workout is quit drinking large amounts of soda or eating things that have high fructose corn syrup since that product turns into fat faster than anthiing else and keeps you full will making your body ignore other calories like eating a burger with a soda the soda wins out on fullness and your body ignores the burger calories makingalmost everything turn to fat.
