I would get out of that relationship FAST!!! It will NOT get better & there is NO future unless you like working to pay HIS debts & the fact that you will NEVER own ANYTHING!!!! People like him have a problem & unless they want help, there is no help. Just know that people addicted to ANYTHING will do ANYTHING to get the money to support their habits. Lie, steal, cheat, whatever.

A gambling addiction is exactly the same as a drug, smoke or drink addiction its not as easy as 123 to stop its an addiction you cannot make him stop but you can help him on the right road to by explaining your feelings to him and telling him you think he needs some proffesional help,,,thats the thing about gambling you think itll come up for you but it never does and hes even worse off if he isnt working tell him to get proffesional help get of his lazy bum and get a good job and there be no need to run back to the pointless game because youll be earning enough if he can support hiself on jobseekers and with a gambling addiction any job would suit him.And you need to go and get help too

You can't change people. He has to want to stop.

I know this is hard, but my mom also is an addict to gambling. They lost the house because all her money goes to the casino. We tried to do an intervention, but she was totally in denial about her addiction. Now she admits that it is a problem, but she still has not faced her demons.

Gambling was created by the mafia to keep people down. Just control yourself, and let him do his thing. If it is a big problem in the relationship maybe you should find a boyfriend who doesn't gamble.

I got a good place to go where he could play and chat without having to spend a bunch of money, has he ever thought of going to pogo.com, some games are free but if you want to play every game you can get a membership, it costs 39.99 here in the US for a year, 10.00 for 3 months and 20.00 I think for 6 months. I have heard a lot of good stories of people saying their addictions stopped once they found this site, plus you ain't losing money the only fee is the year part and don't have to pay anymore till have to renew. I like this site and every week they have weekly badges and a personal challenge.

You can't get him to stop gambling. It has to be something that he wants to do. False hopes and pretenses only hurt things.
