It's been about 2 weeks now and the symptoms have yet to fade. Medicine doesn't seem to help any. What can I do? or how much longer is this going to be? I blow my nose ever 15 min.

You could have allergies in conjunction to your sinus infection or possibly a germ that is resistant to the antibiotics you have been taking. If your mucus is clear, then it is most likely allergies. If not, then you could have lingering germs. Return to your doctor, and he will probably prescribe something a bit stronger than the antibiotics you have been taking. Usually, Amoxicillin is enough to tackle most germs, but stronger antibiotics such as Clarithromycin (Biaxin) are prescribed for recurrent or persistant infections. Good luck to you. I hope you feel better.

Be patient....the sinus problems are probably due to the weather. The cough is due to the sinus drainage.

You could try some form of decongestant to get your sinuses opened up.

Did you get a flu shot? You might want to talk to a nurse, to get something stronger than over the counter!
