Hi, my name is Van. I've been over-weight for about 3-4 years now. I am currently 6'0, 297 lbs. My dad usually takes me to play tennis on weekends so i sometimes loose weight, but its been winter for a while and i ain't doing no out-door activities. I keep telling myself i'll start tomorrow; then tomorrow just passes by and i just tell myself i can't do it. Can some1 help me? Every1 in my family is criticizing me and i don't wanna be fat forever.

Hi Van...

You need to lose weight because you want to lose weight. It can't be for others. It can't be because your family is criticizing you.

Start by really thinking about what you want your life to be like. Don't focus on what you don't like right now... turn it into a positive of what will be when you are in shape. Fill in the blank: "When I lose the weight, I will {blank} "

Any diet that focuses on changing your diet and exercise habits will work. Think in the long term, not short term. You want to learn how you will eat for the rest of your life, not just until the weight is gone. I added the link to the site that I use below - trains you how to eat in the right portions and exercise consistantly. There are also message boards for support. And, it's free after registration.

Hi Van. You simply can't lose it fast. You didn't gain it fast.
Start by cutting back your calories. Try eating 1200 cal/ day. Eat 3 meals of 400 cal each. No snacking. Eat nutritious foods only. Your body gives back what you put in. No junk foods!
Exercise whether you want to or not. Start slow with 20 min/day. Work up to 30 min at a time. You will eventually find yourself looking forward to it.
I know this all sounds like it can't work, or is too much trouble, but trust me. I did it and it works. I have lost 120 pounds in a year, and feel great.
I'd be happy to encourage you on in this.
I am happier than I've ever been in my life.
You can do it!!!

i know how u fell i am over weight to i "ve been big all my life its so hard to find a bf r for that matter a gf but my best addvice is try to start walking thats what i do every day in i all so watch what i eat so yeah
