Embrace their views? No. Then I wouldn't be an atheist.

I can tolerate their views, and do, so long as

1) they don't try to convert me, or stop trying when I ask them to.
2) they don't get any sort of government funding to support their church or activities. If they want to do it, they should pay for it themselves.
3) they don't try to make their religion the "official" one that everyone has to follow.

Freedom of religion also means freedom FROM religion.

It would be nice however, if people would tolerate and respect each other's beliefs -- as long as those beliefs did not lead to violence.

It would be nice... but being human, it's doubtful. Beyond tolerance is acceptance... I see no evidence of that around here.
