I was out with my friend on Friday night, and got horribly drunk (embassing at the age of 28 I know). Anyway, a lovely guy that my friend knows helped me back to my friend's flat. I collapsed on the sofa and he put my feet in his lap. Later, when my friend and her boyfriend went to bed she told him to look after me, and he did - all night.
We slept on the floor, and he just cuddled my all night. He didn't try anything on, possibly because my friend warned him that I am quite nervy and don't like being put unde pressure.
He was a real gentleman, in the morning we were chatting and he was playing with my hair.
When he left in the morning, we didn't exchange numbers but he asked me to promise I would go out with them again, and he kissed me cheek and my belly ring (that he had been playing with during the night).
My friend asked him yesterday for his number for me, and he gave it to her. Today I texted him to say thanks for looking after me, and he said he is going away for a week

or so - I am getting the brush off or do you think he genuinely is going away?

I'm a bit confused, as I realise that I really like this guy, probably because he treated me so well.
What do you think?

any man can treat a girl like that for one night

i do have to give him a thumbs up that he didn't try anything with an obviously drunk chick.
most likely he is just going away for the week.

if he gave up his number then he is interested.

don't do anything yet, let him go where he needs to go, and do what he needs to do.

when he comes back playfully say, wow i really missed you, i am in need of one of those good foot rubs you give.

you don't want him to think you are a psycho chick, stalker.
do not pressure him, because he could have pressured you and was a gentleman enough not too.

sounds like you might be working with a good peice of clay.
shape it but don't mold it....

Good luck, he sounds wonderful...

it is hard to tell from the first time. You need to give the guy a chance to explain himself. Try 2 weeks from now or maybe in 10 days and see from there. some guys like to take the lead and it seems he is one of them. Don't let him sense you are after him.

I think that he's not brushing you off he's just leaving for a while and when he comes back and then you guys can talk about getting together.

Isn't it too soon to have trust issues?? Don't put the crap you've gone through with other men on this guy already! Yes. He may have to go out of town for a week. Yes, he was a gent. Yes, he gave his digits. Yes, he was interested!!! Damn girl, be patient, and wait for his call. If you are already starting to act crazy, you might as well forget it!!

nicely, in case you surely have confidence that he fell asleep then i think of you may desire to offer him yet another danger. He did no longer do it on purpose. If he does this repeatedly to you although, i might have a severe communicate with him or in simple terms locate somebody else. stable success!
