If you want to be a pilot in the Armed Forces, then yes, you must be VERY fit. If you just want to be a pilot for an airline or a private pilot, you don't have to be super-fit but you have to be physically and mentally fit enough to operate the airplane, you must have good depth perception, and you can't be color-blind.

To be a PPL pilot you need an annual medical examination which includes an ECG of the heart. to be a commercial pilot you need a class 1 medical which is every six months and includes a workout on a tread mill connected to a heart monitor.

So yes you have to be fit to be a pilot

I am a pilot, and yes, you have to be fit. You have to pass a physical exam that includes a vision and hearing test. You also can't have any major heart problems, etc., and I think even diabetes might be a concern. You also have to be mentally healthy.

Do we have to put multiple post up for the same question??

You should be less concerned with becoming a pilot and more interested in spelling and grammer. Both by the way.. helpful if you wish to ever fly. Seriously... any CFI's want to train this guy??
