With people's busy schedule, it is difficult to find a date when the people that you care about will be available to attend.

When inviting, please remember to include an explanation about the double celebration to let the guests know about it.

No, it's fine, especially if the parties are for the same people and/or if the guests of honor and the people invited would generally be the same for each. Example, it's ok of two of your friends in the same "circle" have birthdays in the same month and you go out once in honor of them both. However, if it is your grandparents' anniversary and your sister's and brother-in-law's housewarming, it might be weird, unless both were just going to be family affairs.

yes, thats tacky, why would u want to make 2 parties in the same day, people will come to your house not knowing what party is more important, by having 2 parties in the same day, it makes ur house warming party seem less important that the anniversary and vice versa....

It is only Cheesy if you are throwing the party for yourself. Those are the type of parties that your friends should throw for you.

not really.... just means double the celebration. why go to the hassle of having too seperate parties one after the other.... go for the double and double the fun!
