They have been friends since highschool and they occassionaly hang out which I don't mind....but it was wierd...like she said "babe" then she sort of caught herself and said "hey you"....I played it off like nothing....but do you think maybe they had something going on before? Or why would you accidently call your guy friend baby?

Don't know if this helps, but we were in a restaurant the other day and a waitress called my husband "babe." Some people just do it because they can't think of something better to say. They sometimes just do it without thinking too. I've had waitresses call me honey before and it is just their way. Sounds like she just knows him real well and is used to saying whatever. She may have changed it fast because she thought you might get mad. Just call her boyfriend "honey" or something.

of course they have slept together and probably still are. In my experience with this exact situation, they were sleeping together and in time you will start to see little things. Try this: Talk crap about your man to her and you'll see she will not be on your side. Whatever you do, DO NOT tell this woman ANY problems yall have or had or may have in the future, she will use this all against you.
The only person calling your man a pet name should be you.
I would actually move on because he obviously can't.
Which I PROMISE, you'll find out in time.
If you say something to him: Please know that he WILL tell her everything and just the fact of her knowing your questioning thier relationship will bring out the competitive nature in her and make your life HELL!
Don't be niave and don't fall for their crap, they will both lie to cover each others butts!
And what is he doing even hanging out with this girl without you? Do you think they are watching a movie? Ha, yeah maybe a porn!
Just move on, it's not worth the stress. I mean your already stressed out enough to post this question. Now take a minute to imagine the future. Where is this girl in your future? Where does he want her in the future, where do you want her to be in the future of your relationship?
Now look into the mirror and honestly compare yourself to her. Any flaw you see will be either attacked or compared to her in the future.
Any troubles you think you have now, will only worsen.
(Jelous old girlfriend hangs around, tolerates new girlfriends to APPEAR to be unjelous to your man, She is there for him in every way.... When he needs to vent about you, he tells her. This is EXACTLY what she wants! She gives him advice to be a good guy and stay with you - only to appear as a caring person, when in fact this b*tch is decietful and your stupid man will never see it because he LOVES that 2 girls want him.

Me being a female, I wouldn't mind my best guy friend calling me that if there was no sympathy or if I didn't have a boyfriend. But all girls are different. You never know. The best way to find out is to ask her yourself.

I tend to call my guy friends "babe" (not baby) sometimes, though I try to not do it around their wives and girlfriends since they all tend to be the jealous types with no sense of humor about their guys having female friends. Maybe she says that all the time and just slipped and said it in front of you, and tried to cover it up to keep from pissing you off?

I call my husband 'Babe' and 'Baby' on occasion ... it doesn't 'mean I think he is an infant' but is purely a 'nickname' ... and I think that YOU may need some 'help' from a counselor if your thinking has you believing that they 'had something (weird) going on' before that 'caused her to use the word Babe' as anything but a 'simple nick name'.

if they are really good friends from a long time, why not? i still call my ex bf, my soldier and i am still his angel, although we both have moved on with other people. its possible that they had something going on in the past, or maybe she likes him and never told him her feeling?

Something has to be up. I dont call any of my guy friends, those that are just friends, babe and neither do they call me that. If they do call me that it usually means something is up. Keep your guard up.
