I see the argument that the seven days business in Genesis meshes with the estimated age of the earth because a day for God is like 100 million years for us. But if that is so humans have only been on this earth for about 1 tenth of a second in God time.

Is God so fickle that he would work for seven days to create something and then just smash it in the blink of an eye?

u only have half of the story. The way ppl use to describe the "time frame" that God lives in is by saying e.g.: that one day for us is a million years for God.

But the truth is that God does not live in time at all. Time is in our hears, it is psychological. It is on of those things God gave us in our brains which stops us from going insane. You could say God doesnt live in time, he created time.

Our understanding of God is so small, and we are so fragile, we all have been very spoiled by humanity, being taught that we all have rights. God is so much bigger than any of us, that the only thing standing between us and unimaginable pain, is Gods incredible love and Mercy.

Well Im not sure where you get 100 million years. The bible clearly states that for one day for us is like a thousand years to God. Noone but God knows when judgement day is coming. But dont you understand that if you dont follow his command (which isnt really asking so much) that is when you should worry. But if you follow his commands, he will not destroy you. You will be sitting with him in the kingdom of heaven and all the other people who dont want to follow his commands are the ones who will suffer!

Well, first the passage says that one day for Him is like 1,000 years..

Second, what God wanted to make clear is that He is not limited or summited to a amount of time, or man's time.

Third the reason he will "destroy", I will better say "pass judgment" to humanity, is because He is a God of justice. He is all love, and mercy, but is is also just. He does not tolerate sin. And since human kind has been rebel to God, he has to pass justice. This is not because He want human to be condemned, is because human being decided to be condemned when they decided to leave God and sin.

mullah nowhere in the bible does it say that God's day is a million years long .In the new testament it says " brethren , I don't want you to be ignorant just as the heathen are ignorant of the fact that a thousand years of man is just one day of our Lord, and one day of our lord is as a thousand years to man" . So when the bible refers to the Lord's "DAY" it means a thousand year period.
The "DAYS" in Genesis are also thousand year periods. So if you keep that in mind Genesis should make a lot more sense especially if you are thinking a little deeper. God bless, swindled

God exists outside of time. Or maybe it's like existing with an added dimension so you can see the whole of time before you.

I don't think he plans to just smash us. I doubt Jesus would have been incarnated if that had been His plan. What makes you think He'd destroy us?

Ahh

Well, since everything else but God is non eternal, it has to end sooner or later.

How it does...doesnt really matter.

Maybe we start dying the minute we are born eh?

Maybe the judgement day has already started?

*now am going into metaphysical BS* lol

He wouldn't. It only takes a small amount of common sense to see the bible is crap. Why would God flood the earth? He wouldn't.

where does it say God is going to smash it?
it is written that the human race, if not stopped by the return of Jesus Christ, would destroy the earth all by their little selves.
do you get tired of me correcting you? :-))

What is time to a timeless being? Is perfection a process or a state? To someone timeless, it is a state; to us mortals, it is a process called salvation.
