But I told him that since he doesnt have time, it doesnt matter where you are to thank God, as long as you thank him.

I honestly don't get why people think you HAVE to be in church in order for God to appreciate your thankfulness.

What can I tell him to help him feel better?

He wants to thank God for all the health and wealth and happiness he has.

I understand. Tell him this, Men made churches and while they are 'beckons to haven', so to say, they are not the only place one can worship. You already feel this way. Tell him to take a walk outside in Gods beautiful earth and appreciate his creation and thank him then. God can be found everywhere, even in the quite of his room. Some religions however have trouble seeing eye to eye with this. I’m catholic and my family are sticks in the mud about church. I think you can thank God whenever and wherever!

Anyone can thank God no matter what time of day or night, no matter where they are in the world. But going to church helps you keep a closer personal relationship with God. God's churches are blessed and the more you go to church the more happy you will be spiritually, emotionally and physically, because you will be blessed to. What would it hurt for you to take 2 hours out of one day of the week to go with your boyfriend to a church? its only 2 hours, sometimes not even that long. If you have even 5 minutes a day to talk on the phone or watch tv, you have 2 hours to spend thanking God!

Some people believe that going to church is important. But there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ and obey His Word. Maybe he feels condemnation like he is letting God down. Just assure Him that God understands his circumstances and tell him why not pray and ask God to make it possible if God wants him to be at church. God can make a way where there is no way.

God knows everything so I'm sure he knows your boyfriend is thankful for being blessed. God lives within us - church is for hearing the word of God and for fellowship, if your bf feels the need to be in a house of worship to thank God, then maybe he needs to find the time to go. Have a great day!

Instead of wanting your boyfriend to feel better, why don't you do something that will help him in the long run?

Instead of trying to convince him that what he feels and knows what is the right thing to do, why don't you let him lead you to a fuller and deeper relationship with God?

We develop a closer relationship with God by gathering together with others to worship, praise, and thank Him. In the Catholic Mass, God is present in His word that is proclaimed, in the person of the priest who consecrates the bread and wine as Jesus did at the Last Supper, in the Eucharist, and in the congregation.

God has breathed His Spirit into each and every person, yourself included, so when we gather in church to thank God, we have the opportunity to see God's Spirit alive and in action in others.

Do yourself a favor. Go to church with your boyfriend.

Since God has been so good to him I think it is a good idea for him to make time for God and go to church. Fellowship with other believers is very important. I am sure there is something he can skip in order to attend church. My husband works crazy hours, and attends all our kids games, and still finds time to attend church. People can come up with excuses on their own as to why they can not go to church, you shouldn't give him an excuse.

You don't have to be in church to thank Him but He wants more than just thanks. He wants a relationship with you and your boyfriend. Some go to church thinking that's all God wants but that's so not true. It's like Joyce Meyer once said, "God doesn't want weekend visitation, He wants full custody!"

What makes Him happy and all of heaven is when you give your life to Jesus and let Him be your shepherd and savior. I did and now I can't imagine life without Him!

A person does not have to go to church to praise/ have a relationship with God. But there is a certain comfort and strength that can only be experianced and created in going to church.

God created the curch for a reason. It may not matter that much to go all the time, but once in a while will please God, and your boyfriend for that matter.

If he feels he can make time for God in his life, let him.

People don't have to go to church to thank God. We should thank Him always for everything. But we are also told not to forsake the Church. Christians go to Church to worship God. We also go to uplift and encourage each other in our walk with Christ. We have dinners together and play games together. It is hard to be alone and follow the Word of God. Let your boyfriend go to Church, encourage him to go, and you should go with him. Those who pray together, stay together.

Blessings

I'm sorry for hindering you. We will go to church this Sunday to worship, praise and thank God for all He has done because God said where 2 or 3 are gathered there I will be also.
