Many gentiles are converting to the Jewish religion. There are also many gentiles who attend Messianic churches and all of a sudden they don't like to be called gentiles but instead they want to be Jews. What ever happened to "Do not covet"??? Why do many gentiles covet the Jewish calling???

Yes, Not all messianics are Jews. I know a lot of converts to Judaism in a Chula Vista, CA synagogue. They are converting left and right. "A Caananite woman from that vicinity come to him, crying out"Lord,Son of David, have mercy on me! My Daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possesion. "He(Jesus) answered,"I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel."The woman come down and knelt before him "Lord,Help me!"She said.He (Jesus) replied,"It is not right to take the children's(Jews) bread, and toss it to their dogs(Gentile)"."Yes,lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters table"
(Matthew 15:22-28 NIV Bible)

Wow, strong words coming from Jesus the one and only. He called gentiles "dogs" But the Canaanite woman was ok with this, she settled for the crumbs. When christians join a messianic place, they don't want to settle for crumbs, they want the whole enchilada. They claim to be Jews without converting or being Jewish. Others claim they are the spiritual Jews... No such thing.

People convert to Judaism for various reasons , some for honest desire to be Jewish, others for less savory reasons. Messianics like to be called Jews because its part of the sales pitch, since it's really Southern Baptists in (literally) Jewish garb, and the more the Baptists convert, the less real Jews will remain.

I think a lot of people are confused today with religion and are looking for explanations, so what if the Jewish religion offers answers. Why should this bother you, it should make you rejoice that the heathens have found true religion. whats your problem. A lot of men require their gentile wives convert to judiasm, that has been going on forever, so I don't know why you are questioning this now. Be glad anyone is searching for peace.

Messianics are NOT Jews. Messianics are Christians who don't like the name Christian. Or they are Christians attempting to convert Jews from within. Messianics are traitors to the religion...and are possibly the biggest danger facing Judaism today.

As far as the rest of it....I don't know about much jewish conversion, except for that which occurs for marriage. Jews generally don't make any missionary efforts. I haven't heard of, or seen, many people converting to Judaism. I want it stated publicly that I welcome Madona to the faith....we need more blondes that can sing and feel comfortable wearing lingerie in front of a camera.

Only people who refer to themselves as Gentiles, are actually gentiles. WHo are you to give name to a group of people? I think jews (and all religions) need to start calling people what they want to be called.

Don't confuse people who call themselves "messianic Jews" with people of the Jewish religion.

"Messianic Jews" is a code name for Christians who are trying to mislead Jews. They are to be condemned for their lying methods, and for underestimating the intelligence of their Jewish "targets."

Once again, Messianics are not Jews. People converting to that religion are not converting to Judaism. They are converting to Christianity.

The notice 'jew' comes from the notice 'Judah'. it relatively is the call of the land the Jews got here from. it relatively is in many cases referred to as 'Hebron', that's the place the notice 'Hebrew' comes from. Abraham's descendants the place all born in the 'land of Judah' or the 'valley of Hebron'. absolutely everyone born in the land, and who observed the regulation, became into considered a 'Jew' at that factor. persons that confounded the regulation or the place born exterior the Jewish u . s . have been referred to as Gentiles

Jesus is coming back after His body the church. When one comes to Christ, they become spiritual Jew. We don't have to switch over since we become spiritual Jews. We don't have to want it, it just happens. In Christ we are all spiritual Jews.
1Cr 15:46 Howbeit that [was] not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Maybe they believe the Biblical God has exempted Jews from judgement since their souls are the 'chosen ones' they automatically receive resurrection. Maybe they are employed in the diamond business.
