As mentioned by others Florida is good at that time of year, I know it's technically Hurricane Season but I've been in September and my friends have been several times and have had no probs. You can get some great deals.

Shame money is an issue, I had my honeymoon and wedding in Hawaii (Kauai) and visited 3 of the islands - absolutely fantastic, hope to go again for our 10th anniversary. Best wishes for your wedding.

Depends on where in the world you are. September is a nice month in Southern Europe- just past the heat of August but still roasting enough to be REAL pleasant. My favourite is Spain. Asian destinations: Sri Lanka or Goa. Reasonable packages for both but I can only vouch for Sri Lanka where Colombo is really well placed for commuting to some of the most gorgeous destinations you can imagine. Not called the Emerald Isle for nothing! I am going to find the bungalow my ex rents out- it looks SOOOO cool! But if you are in the US you may consider something "Southern"...? Not sure what to advise.

If I had a CHOICE I'd head for St Lucia. Windjammer Landing Beach Resort (I think it is called) to be precise.

:-)

You haven't said where you are from and what you consider fun. So I will tell you what I think I might like. Estes Park Colorado USA. It is beautiful and that time of year you'll have the leaves turning and the air beginning to get cooler, you can rent log cabins and having a roaring fire. There are plenty of shops and restaurants too. You can go on hikes or rent a horse and go for a lovely ride and have a picnic while you are out. I think that Estes Park is heaven on Earth!

Places that are warm and nice in September: The Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, San Antonio, Atlanta, Tuscon, Savannah, Myrtle Beach. Any place in the Carribean and Mexico is sunny and hot then, too, but you run the risk of hurricanes. Also, cruises are nice then, and cheaper.

September is the begining of hurricane season in the atlantic, you could probably get great deals for that time of year in Florida or go to Bermuda, thats an overlooked island and its not all that expensive. My sister lived there for a few years and my parents visited often and found it was very affordable, as they stayed in hotels and rented scooters and everything. I would try there.

Your fiance should be paying for the honeymoon although it's becoming more and more customary to share payment between the two of you. If you live in the UK, go to Wales, Cornwall, the Lake District - somewhere peaceful and beautiful! Somewhere you can easily visit for an anniversary or somethng, to make it more romantic! It's ten times cheaper, you don't have to worry about the weight of luggage as you don't need the airplane worries and you're closer to home should you fall sick :)!

If you're in the US (or elsewhere) again, go somewhere closer to home that's idyllic, romantic and peaceful, somewhere you wouldn't normally go.

Im also getting married in sept. at the end of it! My fiance and I are talking about going to one of the Hawaii islands, its nice most of the days there, but its beautiful for private walks on the beach and staying in a hut that looks out over the water! Price wise it isnt to bad either! :) Good Luck

Try Dubrovnik, Croatia. It is still very warm, but not too hot,the sea is so inviting, food is wonderful, so is wine, and there is so much to see. Dubrovnik used to be it's own republic in middle ages, the whole place looks like you step back in time, it is place where my husband and I fall in love over and over again after almost 10 years of marriage. Can't wait to go back.
