How do I remove a Virus Protector?

It won't let me uninstall it at my Add or Remove Programs window.

I have Freedom Security & Privacy from Adelphia. When I go to the Add or Remove Programs window and click remove, an Installshield Wizard window comes up, a bar starts loading, and just dissapears when the bar reaches the end.

Can you be more specific. What kind of virus protection is that? What error message do you get
