I am married to a half Arab, Muslim man, and I live with him and his family in their country. I experience Arab people and Islam on a daily basis. I am also studying Islam. Peace.

The Arab culture does not match the religion and yet they say that it does. In most cases not all as recent changes are being made Arabs live on being told what to do. They are afraid to advance on their own. An Arab cannot choose what he really wants to be. Let us say that you got high marks and you wanted to be a teacher, those around you would tell you that you have to be a doctor, and that is what you would do; just because they told you to. Often times you don't have a mind of your own.
Now Islam that is a coat of a different color. Islam at it's very core is the most beautiful essence in the world. It gets you past Muhammad being a pedaphile (yes he was). The core enables you to see the truth and to understand that people are people and they should never be put up on a pedestal. Keeps us in tuned to God you could say, still I wouldn't go around preaching it is the best religion in the world for everyone. People can make their own choices.

One on one I find arabs to be some of the friendliest people on earth. I spent a few weeks in Cairo and was treated very nicely by the Egyptians I met there, and I thought it was a great city. Ahib al qahira! But I also think Islam is leading you away from God, and I pray that you will find Jesus.

they accept mohammed as God's most recent and important messenger and regard the Quran as a Holy book of laws
They are very serious about their religion and stop to pray 5 times per day.
