When I put my computer on this evening There was something that came up and it said about unused icons and I would like to have them back on the computer.

Normally if you ran the unused icons program they store them in a folder appropriately named Unsed Icons on your desktop .. If it's your entire desktop icons . right click on the desktop ,scroll to arrange icons by and scroll down to ,show desktop icons .. :)

if they r not in yer recycle bin go to start then to all programs. ull see the list of all your programs. right click on the ones u want and go to send to...and select desktop. should work good luck.

try system restore, restore your computer to an ealier date,like the day before your icons went missing
