Listen up chumps! When he said what he said he was refering to going out among none jew. jesus was not recruiting for a religion but for a political movement. He did not want gentiles because any gentiles in the province of judea was against the jews. They saw them as foriegn invaders in a their land.

He was telling the Apostles that for that particular task, lasting a short amount of time, they were to travel to speak to Israelites, or Jews. Jesus knew the time for the Gentiles to hear the Gospel would be shortly thereafter.

That was while he was still alive preaching to the nation of Israel. After he died and took his own life up again, he directed the apostles to go into all the world and make disciples. He was talking about Gentiles.

He was talking about anyone who wasn't a Jew. The message of the gospel was meant for the Jew first.....and then the Gentile (sinner)....but now praise God...we are all grafted into the same tree because of Christ!!!
