He may be omnipotent, but even God couldn't save that goofball's poor acting skills.

God did not, not save his acting career Kirk Cameron is still acting, But it seems his taste has changed to want to do Christian work only.
that is his choice. God only convicted him to do what is the best for his relationship with Him.
If he can help other people by getting his message out there I say he made the right decision.

Kirk Cameron does still act. Though he does not do a lot of work. I heard that he has turned down several roles because they were not too christ like. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices to show that you really do beleive in God.

Oh my gosh, GOD SAVED HIM! That is for sure, He saved him from continuing on in Hollywood and that life--God saved Kirk and now has blessed him entirely with a evangelsim ministry that is really touching people's lives and God is moving within that ministry. Kirk is so blessed and I know he is thankful God saved him from the life he used to live. Kirk was once agnostic. Just goes to show the power of God and how He works inside someone's heart. What a testimony Kirk has! And you should check out his ministry at www.wayofthemaster.com
He is spreading the word effectively- and does street witnessing a lot. Their show is great too, the only good show on tbn.

Maybe called him on to something else, like a ministry in the industry. There are a lot of Christians in the Industry, some are more open about it than others and some quit acting while others don't.

Kirk decided not to belong to the acting community. He alienated himself from all that he knew. God didn't save him or destroy hi. He did it to himself.

I met him at the Sparo's restaurant in West wood, California five years ago. As my family went out for dinner there that night, I remember. My father talked with him a bit while we happened sat on our table next to Kirk's table. He made a decision to go into the low key profile life style while remains as a an actor. More likely as a an occasional or character actor, not as a leading actor, I assume. Top of that, you know, sometimes, it's good for the actors/actresses to put their acting on hold while exile for a while to bring themselves best out to their families or himself or herself. Actress Meryl Streep had been exiled for 12 years to devote her time to be a full time Mom, before she came back to acting. Now she has won her golden globe last month. Being exiled for a bit doesn't always mean ending the acting career for some actors or actresses even for actors who once been as teen idol actors/actress in our time, if they want to get a break from acting and get the wishes from God that God grant them to have that for some reasons. Look at Demi Moore. She has not made much acting lately since she wants to spend more time being mom to her three teenage daughters while living in Idaho residence. Look at Patrick Dempsey in Grey's Anatomy T.V. series - he was once as a teen idol actor in "Fast Times"and he exiled into the low key profile lifestyle and decided to go into the limelight as T.V actor, going back into the T.V. Series again after 20 years while living as a low key profile actor, and doing other things privately. I think it might apply to Kirk one day. I notice he is more as a movie actor than T.V actor these days, if you check it out the rental movies at Blockbusters- it looks like God has not end his acting career after last few movies he did last two years.

Heh, decent question.
Since he's a hardcore Christian now, you'd think he have more fame in order to "spread the word" more effectively.
Then again, you could say that it might backfire. Look at Mel Gibson. Not a lot of people take him seriously any more.
