You have to eat!! You will not lose weight if you stop eating, plus you will probably pass out by the end of day 2. I have been on a diet for about a month now. I'm 5'5 and 183. At the begining of January I was 206. And i have learned that the key is eating!! but healthy! (For breakfast i have a Special K bar and some yogert and a lean cusine and a salad for lunch and chicken and veggies for dinner. with snacks between meals like 100 calorie packs and jello) Water intake is very importatnt! And working out is great for it too! (i walk and hour a day on the treadmill.). The first week i did this diet i lost 10 pounds and have continued to lose staying within a thousand calories per day. and if you have 2 months you should be close to your goal if not at your goal by the time you go to Florida! Hope that i helped you... at least a little

When I got married in 2003, I wanted to lose around 20 pounds. I am not big at all on exercising but I did walk at least a mile everyday with my favorite tunes in my ear.

I also committed to eating fruits and vegetables faithfully through the weekdays and added some meat on the weekends. I did not have sodas, breads, or sweets. You have to be committed to losing the weight.

You do not want to lose the weight so fast and once you're in Florida you come back larger than you started. Plus if you don't eat in 5 days you may not wake up to go to Florida!

Search the web for foods that contain negative calories..those are calories burned while eating or consuming. Take care of yourself!

One, don't starve yourself. It harms your body and almost always leads to greater wait gain when you start eating the way you normally do later.

Two, unless you've alot of muscle, 147 @ 5'6" is isn't exactly model thin. Its a healthy weight, but not string bikini stuff. So why hurt yourself for little results? Just dress appropriately and have fun on your trip!

for next time, learn to eat well and find some exercise that you enjoy. Take the weight off gradually until you settle into a new healthy weight that you can maintain.

Anyway, the Atkins diet will get you close if you follow it closely. I'm not recommending it, though, b/c you won't stick with it forever and when you stop the weight will pile back on.

That's a terrible idea. Ideas like this result in the spread of anorexia. The best way to lose weight, no matter what any one tells you, is good diet and exercise. Any substitute to that is incorrect. Try to have a diet with healthy carbs, and 3 times as many carbs as proteins, and exercise regularly. Most people think aerobic exercises are the best for weight-loss, but when muscle is gained, it actually absorbs fat molecules, making it easier for you to lose weight in the future.
If you starve yourself, your body will become confused. When you start eating again, your body will be less effective at digesting foods, meaning you get less nutrition and gain more weight when you eat. Your body might also go into shock when you start eating again, causing you to get very sick for a long while.
On the other hand, one day of fast per month is determined healthy simply because our bodies get lazy and too used to a constant daily diet. On the fast, drink more liquids than you normally would, particularly juice. Juice will give you relatively healthy energy until you begin eating the next day.

For one, to lose 30 pounds in 2 months is unrealistic. Two, starving yourself for that period of time will only ensure that you lose a little bit of weight and gain it back quickly, not on that but you'll probably weigh more then than u do now. People have died trying to do stuff like this. You're putting too much pressure on yourself worrying about an even that comes along so soon. Set your goals more realistically and plan to lose the weight by next summer, u may even lose more than 30lbs. trust me.... starving yourself definately doesn't work.

No starving yourself isnt the answer, yes you will drop pounds, but as soon as you eat agian, those pounds will come right back. Eat about 1200 calories a day and excercise for at least 30 minutes daily. If it were that easy to lose thirty pounds, we'd all be super models. It takes will power, and determination, and work. Good luck...and have a great time in Florida!
((if I may add this... I was in Rocky Point one weekend, and saw these girls...college aged with thier boyfriends. Both girls had about 30 pounds to lose BUT they wore bathing suits that looked great (2 piece) and fit well, and SMILED with CONFIDENCE. Thier boyfriends looked happy. They had a great time! I must say, I learned a lot watching those girls.))

Please, Please do NOT starve yourself. I don't think you need to lose weight. With your height I think you should be fine. I am 34 5'4, and my weight is slightly lower than your, I am curvy but not fat. II have done the starvation and several other things, it may be quick, but it is very dangerous. Just 3 weeks ago I ended up in the emergency room becasue of the damage I had done to my self. Starving yourself you will lose muscle tone as well. You will really put yourself in danger, I am begging you, that if you feel you need to lose weight, do it the right way and it will stay off. Eat healthier, and exercise more. Watch your calories and fat grams. Dear child, I am begging with all my heart, DO NOT STARVE YOURSELF!!!! You can e-mail and I will try to help you through this. Please just talk to someone if not me, I promise you will be happier and healthier if you do this the right way.

Besides, curvy women are BEAUTIFUL!! Ask any guy.

If you do that, by the time you do eat your body will go in shock and store every little bit it can. You will actually in the long run gain alot of weight. Because your body just went with out food for so long, that when it does get it, it stores everything! Try eating healthy snacks every two hrs for a couple of days. That way your body isn't starving and won't store much. Plus it helps get your motabolism going so it'll burn more than it stores.

Other being unhealthy, starving yourself will make your body store anything you eat once you do decide to eat. The best way to lose weight consistently is to eat less. Just enough calories to keep your body running.
