I have a sr20det powered nissan 240sx should I get an sr tranny also? or should I keep the stock ka tranny?

Since youre going through the trouble of an engine swap, you must be concerned with performance. Keeping that in mind, I would recommend finding the internal ratios of the two transmissions, and go with the trans that will best support the sr20det.

they are the same some people think the KA tranny is better the DOHC KA's have double syncros on 1st and 2nd as should the newer SR tranny but the ratios are the same the only thing is that to put the KA on the SR you have to use the SR bell housing. The difference in gearing is in the rear end gear.

Whenever possable get the engine gear box, wiring harness and ecm all as one purchase. even better buy a siliva clip that has the radatior and every thing from the dashboard foward.
