Creflo Dollar teaches things that are outright heretical, and blatantly against even obvious scriptural teachings. Yet TBN still invites him to speak on their events, and people run out to buy his books and believe him.
This is what happens when people don't know the Bible for themselves -- a lie comes along, and they have no Bible knowledge to contradict it.
Would American Christians really rather believe a lie because it's easier than reading the Bible for themselves?

Here are some teachings these two assert:
-we are not just human beings, we are gods and we're better than the angels.
-Jesus was not born divine, He became that way by obeying God.
-any man can become just like Jesus.
-we are equal to God.
-the Bible is lying about us being sinners saved by grace. We are really mini-gods who have been confused.
-Jesus was a wealthy man who wore designer clothes.
-we get healing from God by giving money to Creflo Dollar.

They obviously have their followers -- people who really do not bother to verify what they say because they think that because they have the name "reverend" in front of their name and quote from a bible, then everything they teach is orthodox. They're hoping the audience won't notice -- and people like them who make tons of money -- who's going to challenge them? Speak up and speak out!!!!!

The Apostles, when alive, fought against having paid clergy. They had their own secular jobs. As should be the case today if the religion follows the Bible. Jesus did not preach in a fancy church and have fancy clothes and jewelry. Neither did the Apostles. Shortly after the last Apostle died, oppressive wolves entered the congregations. Taking over and asking to be paid for their services. The first century christians preached from door to door just like Jesus did. Then the congregation started paying someone to do that for them. Eventually, the hired clergy refused to go door to door and started expecting people to come to them. The same is true today. These people, if they have done something wrong, should have the same punishment others would get for the same crime. People have a choice to either pay these people or not. People seem to think the more elaborate the church and decorations are, the more God blesses them.

Yes, people will believe the lies. Its easier to believe these men who start pointing their fingers telling folks that this is what the lord wants. Do as I say, this is what has blah blah. People sometimes don't want to take the time to be a good christian. They feel that they can get away with having the pertinent sound bites on CD/ DVD. Why read the bible when you can have it condensed into 60 pages and be done with it.

In America we still have free speech and for the moment everyone can still say what they want. I do not listen to Copeland or Dollar, I do not follow that type of Christianity at all and never did. But if I want my church to be free i must not try to stop them either. Freedom of religion has to be universal even if we do not always like what other people will teach or do.

Cleflo dollar has a lot of money and some times passes some out. That sounds like the recipe to do what you want in America.

you want American Christians to tell this man that he does not have the right to speak his mind. Well that sounds like something a fascist or a communist would say its not something that an American would do.
The trouble with allot of American Christians today is they have more in common with Osama Bin Laden who does believe people should be silenced or shot for heresy. American Christan's are not very American nor are they very christian.

Which one of the 100 denominations are you?
Believe me, reading the bible for yourself does not mean you're going to get the same idea as anyone else.

Good observation, a lot more heretical teaching is exposed in Hank Hanegraaff's 'Christianity in Crisis'

You're right. A lot of people do not know the Bible, and therefore are ignorant to these heresies.

You mean like the lie that god exists? Of course! It's FAR easier than learning the truth after all.
Religion, the ultimate intellectual cowardice...
