Add our President to that list. He speaks to his "higher father" when it comes to policy. We all see where that has led us. God save us from religious people!

You need to look at the diagnosis of most of these worst offenders. Psychotic, bi-polar, mentally unstable, etc... this meaning they hear voices ASSUMING it is God when in fact is the illness causing the voices. So for the second question, you can't assume that everyone considers ALL religious types to be insane.

The loony bins are full of people who think they talk to god. They are as crazy as the ones from the Old Testiment, but back then, people listened to them. And people wonder why organized religion is so screwed up....

Yes it angers me that people use "God" in their wicked actions- and it makes christianity look bad- BUT this also goes to show how satan uses the word of God against us. that is why satan is so sneaky. many will say God told them to do it- but if it goes against what God says it is NOT God telling them but rather the enemy deceiving them.
That is how we who are saved know what is from God and what isn't- as we continue to seek Him in word and truth and prayer and praying for spiritual discernment. It does not surprise me that people will make christianity look bad- remember Jesus said the world will hate us because it hated Him first.
That is why I do not say "relegion" --being a born again christian is not being relegious. It is knowing the one truth is Jesus Christ and following Him.

(ten bucks says that they answer with idiotic things like "demons were pretending to be god when they told her that..." funny but you'd think that an omnipotent god would know that and stop it...)

God didn't tell them to do these things, He is the God of love. If they did hear a voice at all it must of been Satan speaking to them. Lots of people mistake Satan for God when hearing these voices.

you can't stereotype every religious person into some mad crazy cult because a few (cough cough) i mean a lot of them seem to be part of one.
i know many people of many faiths who are laid back, who don't give a damn about what everyone else is doing. they know that they have faith and that's all that matters to them. i respect that.
