Osama bin forgotten? The CIA asset?

Osama bin Ladin? Do you mean that "hero" the US had trained and armed to fight the communist Russians when they had invaded Afghanistan?? I heard a rumor he was even entertained in the White House as a guest of honor once.
If and when he is captured or killed, the US will have to find or create another "enemy". This is how politics work. If there are no enemies, no threats, then a government cannot agitate nationalistic feelings of ordinary people and spend billions on buying new weapons. The only people who benefit from this are the weapons producers of course.

In all likelihood, Osama bin Laden is dead. He was a sick man with kidney and diabetes problems before he went hiding in the mountains of Bora Bora on the Pakistan and Afghanistan border. The French government couldn't confirm a report, but the French government said it heard from one of its Middle Eastern agents that Osama died of medical problems. Yet that report remains unconfirmed today. America had the best chance to capture him alive when we invaded Afghanistan in 2002. There was a time frame when he was running and hiding. We bombed the heck out of those mountains and heard rumors he was dead, but lo and behold, he kept on showing up on television like a bogeyman. The last we saw of him was a couple of days before Prez George Bush's re-election in November 2004. Nothing from Osama since. It's been over two years since he done a video recording. It looks like the French agent might have been right, Osama died from medical problems. Yet this is still unconfirmed.

The deathof saddam was a good for some and bad for some of us looking foward we all are trying to reduce terrisiom in the world . the main terroist left now is not only osama there are more.but the question again arises that is the police of every country looking for ossama or not .the answers are not with us but we may get them.my imagination for this is that every one is relaxed after the death of saddam no police officers are aware in the night ,they are not paying special attention for this it is not only the police who is not aware of this but also the public of the world is siting ideal not doing any thing.my suggetion is that we all should get to this and do find him as soon as possible.

They haven't forgotton but what part of the problem is now is that Iraq is unstable we have to first make sure that it is reasonable stable so that another force of greater danger than Sadam comes into power. Remember better the evil that you know than the evil that you don't know. Oh, and the main reason we probably went into Iraq is because of Iran.

Their looking but the whining left complained so much about it Osama that The kept keying on Saddam vs Bin Laden.

So because of the interest-in seeing Bush Fail as it were the media decided to key on what they did have which was Saddam. Also Saddam was a mass murderer and killed 100's of thousands of people.

We are looking for him and will eventually find him. From a military standpoint he has been neutralized and is no longer a significant player in global terrorism.

If we were to publicly make a national effort to find him - this would only raise his stature in the Arab world.

The mere fact that we plan on capturing him 'when we get around to it' damages his credibility in Arab eyes. And the fact that he is hiding also diminishes his credibility.

We have never stopped searching for Osama.

Its well established that we have given up on searching for Osama Bin Ladin. We are going to boldly continue forward in the war on Terror. But the architect of the 9/11, USS Cole and basically a bunch of stuff well we stopped looking for him. We need a few hundred Billion just to keep going in Iraq and dont have any change left to hunt the bad guy anymore. I think thats how its supposed to be believed. Anyone with common sense knows hes home in Saudi Arabia safe with his family. I think either we do whatever the saudis tell us or maybe he was just a temporary boogyman to keep american scared out of their minds. Afraid of terrorists while we are losing ground in manufacturing and the dollar slides against the pound sterling to a new 14 yr low. What exactly are the poor (financially speaking) american soldiers fighting to protect? Freedom?? The right to vote??
