Tough question to answer since American dominance in the heavyweight division has been the name of the game throughout most of boxing's history.
1) Lennox Lewis
2) Bob Fitzsimmons
3) Max Schmeling
4) Frank Bruno
5) Francois Botha
Honorable mention: Primo Carnera
These men with maybe the exception of Fitzsimmons would beat down the 3 current title holders; Valuev, Maskaev, and Klitschko. Yes, even Carnera.

a_p_ - Ouch! That hurt. When the heavyweight division becomes interesting again I'll bone up on my boxing in reference to that division. Until then tell the rest of your European "heroes" they need to start coming over to the U.S. to fight. Because they'll end up being taken to the school of boxing just like Adamek did. Klitschko also caught Botha at the end of his career. That's a real "feather in his cap" to beat a washed up fighter like Botha was at that point in his career.

Well I see that some of our American friends have been writing trash and making fun of this, so now let's see what a real list should, more less, look like:

1) Lennox Lewis - greatest, most talented heavyweight boxer of all time, American or non American

2) Vitali Klitschko

3) Max Schmelling

4) Wladimir Klitschko

5) Ingemar Johansson

And just for the record - Francois Botha already fought Wladimir Klitschko and got KTFO like a chump. Therefor the statement that he would beat the Klitschko brothers is clearly bull shitt and just goes to show the extent of boxing knowledge of some people here.
