They are real places that need to be contemplated. I believe in the scriptures which have much detail about them. My hope is in what is promised as well as the understanding of the consequences of sin.

For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. Hebrews 13:14

For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment. 2 Peter 2:4

I am thankful for Hebrews 9:24 which says "For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with hands--the representation of the true sanctuary--but into heaven itself, and he appears now in God's presence for us."

No I don't believe in them but I can't say that those places don't exist in some way. I can't go by the Bible because I don't believe that there's anyway to actually know that the Bible is the word of God since it was written by men and those men may have made it all up. It's possible a God may exist but 'he' may be very different than the one we've heard about. I believe people have some sort of 'soul' or 'energy' inside them that may go somewhere else after we die but I don't know where that place is. It's not something I will find out until I die and I'm comfortable not knowing the answers. The idea of Heaven is a nice thought but I can't tell myself that it's real. I just try to be a good person in this life and I'll wait and see what happens.

No I don't. There is no evidence that either of them exist. In general I simply don't believe in things for which there is no evidence. An example would be a Mermaid. Another example: Dragons. There is an equal amount of evidence to show that there are Mermaids and Dragons as there is for the existance of Heaven and Hell, namely zero. It's not that difficult.

I believe that heaven and hell are both things that we create here on Earth through our own deeds.

Heaven (to me) is chocolate. Hell (according to my husband) is being married to me for 15 years. Self explanatory, I think.

Absolutely.....
Because God said it is so in scripture. Who am I to question Him?
