How about when he fed the multitudes with , what was it 5 fish?Is that just a metaphor, Christian?

When it sounds totally bats**t crazy, or when it makes living in today's society uncomfortable.. then it's metaphor.

When they can use it to say you're an awful sinner, or use it to "prove" his divinity... then it's literal.

A metaphor was used to compare the Kingdom of Heaven to everyday happenings that went on around in society. Literal speach was used for admonishment, correction, and for things that Jesus wanted to make very clear.

When Jesus said not to cast pearls before swine it was a metaphor. When he said "Go not unto the gentiles" it was literal. They both mean the same thing.

How can you tell what Jesus actually said and what was just attributed to Him? The whole Lord's Prayer is said to be a compilation of other saying's of His.

When he said I AM and he didnt create anything from scratch...hes just using metaphorically.

Words and actions dont match....thats metaphor.
