Your sickness is the result of dissonance between your "reality tunnel" and the reality of the world around you. Many people are choosing to use their intellects to think rationally about issues that effect them. You have chosen to submit your intellect to the dictates of the religious authorities in your life and to the archaic dogma to which you subscribe. At this time, there is no credible evidence to support the existence of a supernatural being such as a god. There isn't even sufficient evidence to prove the historical existence of Jesus. It is your choice to continue to cling to such irrational beliefs or not. However, the result of choosing to believe that which has no basis in fact is the emotional upset that you are experiencing.

Choose instead to use your mind. THINK. It is the single most important thing you can do that the religious authorities in your life, including your bible, do NOT want you to do.

Many people do not believe because of bogus Christians who confused them with bad interpretation of the Bible or by their hypercritical life style.

There are others who will not believe even it they see evidence. In the Bible it is written that in the Great Tribulation, after many terrible events most people will acknowledge it is God, but many of those will still not obey Him and repent, but keep trying to fighting Him.

With over 200 different Christian denominations, each claiming all the others are wrong and on a sure path to hell. Each also claiming that they have the "only" true knowledge of what God wants for us ....

Why aren't you a doubter???

I do not like the word "Doubter." For the record, I am atheist but will explain many reasons why. I simply do not beleive in Christ because people were helplessly ignorant to the time period. For example, If I stood up and said I am the final Mesiah, would you actually believe me? Of course not.

I was raised Roman Cathloic, attended cathloic school, received communion, confession, etc. and still do not believe.

Did you know that Jesus was actually born in Nazareth, not Bethlehem. If you want the specfics it is due to the caste system; Jesus' latin name is Jesu d Nazarene. JESUS OF NAZARETH. Except Nazareth did not exist until 200 years after his death.

Do you know the Shrow of Torin is actually dated to the 1400.

Judas was killed 6 seperate times in 4 seperate cities.

Peter was boilied at the ripe old age of 82, survived, and was then hung.

Abraham was 800 years old when he died.

This list is endless.

We are not doubters, we are naturalists. We feel that life on this earth (Which took millions of years, not days) is all based to science, not theology.

It might open your eyes, or blind you even more to the truth.

How could using logic on your mythology "make you sick" as you put it?
If you could, or any christian for that matter, provide us with ONE single shred of credible evidence to support the existence of a magic sky pixie called god, then maybe, just maybe we would think about it.
But it's never happened. Not once in the history of mankind. Gee, I wonder why?

Why would it make you sick?
People require proof to believe in something. Even though you may be convinced, one thing that is sorely lacking in this debate is proof. Until you can prove God's existence without a doubt, you can expect dissenting opinions.

I believe He works in your heart.
You have to trust in Him even though you can't see Him and even when it's hard.
You can't blame God for all the trouble you might have. Remember God have enemies against Him, so if you believe in God you will too but God have already overcome the world and its desires, so we can too if we believe and trust Him.
We have to do our part.

Great Question.... I am a christian and i honestly believe that people who are non believers get kicks out of trying to upset us Christians/religious believers.... This is a site to ask and answer questions... And instead of it being used as such, We all MYSELF included have used it for a place to make points.... it isn't going to change.... But just ignore all the negativity and try to help those with genuine questions.... If you Can help you have done your job.... God Bless

Sorry, but do not take it personal. They are the ones who lose in the long run. For me the best way to deal with being a Christian is to quitely do the right thing and random anynomous acts of kindness. Do not argue with them, just smile and say time will show who lost and who won in the only game that counts and change subject. This drives at rabid ones away and the ones who you might reach will eventually ask questions.

Because they have chosen to think for themselves and take responsibility for their own actions. Religion is a cop-out. They believe that you can sin all you want, yet all you got to do is ask for forgiveness from some supernatural being that lives in the sky. This is irresponsible. We are responsible for our own actions and no one else's. Also, they have chosen to actually start thinking and follow a little logic. How could anyone actually believe that the world was created in seven days and that humans were created from dust. There is no proof that the Earth was created in seven days, although....humans are mostly carbon. Simply put, religion is a scapegoat for those who cannot think for themselves and take no responisiblity for their own actions.
