I handcraft various all natural, vegan Shea Butter Soaps and one of my largest demographics are vegans (no surprise!), but I need suggestions on how to find such groups. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

It all depends on your advertising budget. You can go for periodicals like Vegan Times, PETA's magazine, and other Vegetarian periodicals, and pay for ads. But your best bet would be to go for PUBLICITY and not ADVERTISING - publicity offers you far more credibility. Create a compelling 'hook' and send them a press release about your product. Your hook must be very compelling so spend a lot of time crafting it. Off the top of my head, you could work on something that starts with, "Is there soap in your soap?" Something that makes the journalist, talk show producer, reader, etc. want to read more.

You can send free samples of your product to celebrities such as Pam Anderson and other outspoken animal rights activists. Many times you can get endorsements from these celebrities because it is a subject they feel intensely about. When you do, you can use their name over and over again (with their permission, of course). People love and emulate celebrities.

My clients (I do pr/marketing for small businesses) usually end up getting long-term exposure from well-crafted press releases. I try to do as much low/no cost marketing as possible.

Your website isn't too bad, but I would remove the flash banner on the top. Anything that takes your visitors away from your site is not good. Your homepage should also be more compelling - less about you and more about me (the customer).

I would also recommend that you start an email newsletter (ezine) so you can stay in front of your customers regularly and market to new ones.

Good luck! Looks like you have a good product on your hands, and that's where it all begins!

check to see if there is a niche publication geared specifically toward vegans, you never know there may be a magazine called Vegan Times. I would stick with a targeted form of media.

Good Luck. Also look online for these types of groups.

Try talking to the folks at "My Organic Market (MOM)". They seem to have a ton of local items and what not.

Good Luck!
