I was with someone for ten years when we split up it ruined me for a while I hoped we would get back together and spent every waking hour thinking about him but after about six months I made a pact with myself that I was gonna start to live and enjoy myself. I although hard started to occupy my self as much as possible I started salsa dancing (just a choice I made ) and became conscious that each week I thought of him less I started to go out more keep busy basically found other things to think about and as time went on it got easier and easier, I am now four years on happy with someone Else have heard he has since got married had two kids and is moving to America next month and guess what!! I am pleased for him I realise now we was not meant to be any more we had a good time while it lasted and now we have both moved on and the man I loved so much although I wish him no harm and all the best out of life I really don't care any more

Three part question. Three part answer:
It's over when the other person says it is.
You get them out of your head in a few months time by keeping busy at things you like to do, finding another person to be with, hanging with your friends more, and avoiding the person who hurt you.
You stop hoping immediately. If the other person says it's over. Accept it. If they come back, they do, but they probably will not.,

Heartbreak is a difficult thing to overcome. Unfortunately only a long period of time will help you forget. Sometimes as long as a year. Thats why they say that its important to guard your heart.

One thing that really helps speed along the process is to not be nostolgic. The more time you spend thinking of the good times and what a great person they are the worse you feel.
Also, avoid all contact with this person for a long period of time.

When everything that you used to share together falls apart or doesn't exist anymore, you know what i am talking about. It might take long to get them out of your head but you can try by all means to, you are a great guy,you can do it, dont stress yourself. You can stop hoping when they are out of your head.

I Have to say that the only thing that will take care of a broken heart is time. there is no other way. I know you are hurting and there is nothing that can be said to make it better. Learn from it and move on, Sorry . I know how you feel.

if i knew the answer to that id be a happy woman. i guess all i do know is its all about, when you allow yourself to be free and happy again. hope however will never die if in your heart you truly believe they are worth hoping for but most of us eventually realise that perhaps things do happen for a reason. hope you find what ever your looking for.
