I was recently givin a bunch of old childrens VHS's but when i play most of them the picture kind of jumps and white snow lines go thru the screen. I've tried cleaning the VCR and nothing has changed. How can i fix it because there are some really good Disney movies that my son loves and i want to actually be able to watch them

those old vhs tapes store the video magnetically. time can deteriorate the video, as will an interfering magnetic field. dont store the vhs tapes near anything that would have a magnet in it.

If you've cleaned the VCR heads, then the movies are likely worn out and there's nothing that can be done. The tapes have been damaged due to watching them too many times. Their life is over.

It sound like the tension of the tape is out.
Try fast forward and reverse a couple of times to tighten the tape.
Not saying this will work but it has for me in the past.

If adjusting the tracking on yr VCR doesnt work, I would say the damage is on the tapes themselves
