I usually make two pies at the same time. On the first I do a regular pepperoni and cheese. On the second, I get creative. Sometimes I do caramelized onions, black olives and roasted garlic. Another great topping is BBQ chicken chunks with asparagus tips. You can pretty much put anything on a pizza.

I like a simple seasoned hamburger topping using lean ground beef instead. I slow brown a pound of ground round and add kosher salt, fresh grind pepper and Italian seasoning and a couple diced up garlic cloves. Like I said, just let that slow cook on low with the cover on so those flavors get into the meat. I spoon this with a slotted spoon to lose any excess fat, on to my pizza sauce and cheese. It really is very good.

Nuts tend to go really good on pizza, like pine nuts. otherwise it's all about what you fancy at the time. Pepper does go well on pizza and generally goes with whatever else you put on it. Had a pizza with Donner meat on it (as in kebab), which actually was pretty good! To make stuff taste a bit different you could always try making a calzone too, makes everything taste a bit different, mmmm... pizzas are good!

Pesto (Fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, salt to taste and olive oil whirled in a blender or food processor if you want to make your own), italian sausage cooked then sauteed in a little oil with onions and green peppers until sausage is browned and veggies are softened. Layer on the pizza dough with some mozzarella.... It's so delicious.

It is probably good to stay with the same thing, but spice it up a little. Buy or make a pizza with multiple kinds of cheeses on it, and put some spices on top. Sausage is a good topping to try though if you want something different.

BBQ Chicken.... makes for a really good pizza,

I never really liked BBQ sauce at all, but one day was "forced" to try this pizza and have since been in love with its flavor!

my favortie BBQ Chicken Pies have had a thin regular pizza sauce base, topped with cheese, then chicken, and then BBQ sauce over all of that.... in the end it will all bake together and taste wonderful!

good luck on becoming an outgoing pizza eater!

One of the best pizzas I ever had was called a "white" pizza. It had NO tomato sauce, but the dough was thinly spread with ricotta cheese instead. That was then covered with slices of fresh tomatoes and onions, and then sprinkled with mozzarella on top. It was spectacular!

I like to use mushrooms and mild pepper rings with garlic butter crust. Sometimes I put fresh chopped garlic on the pizza too.

Now I want pizza!

Try a traditional Margheritta. Fresh mozzarella, halved or quartered Roma tomatoes, and sliced fresh basil. Sprinkle some fresh Parmesan on top and you have yourself a simple but authentic and delicious treat.
