Pins and needles are caused by a decrease in or a cut-off of blood supply to the affected area. Leaving a joint bent, not moving a limb for a long amount of time, or adding weight (such as crossing your legs, this in fact decreases blood supply in addition to adding weight to the leg that is on the bottom, making for a much worse sensation of pins & needles. Painful pins & needles are a tell-tale sign of nerve compression or strain. It's hard to say for sure without knowing where in your body you're experiencing this, but I would assume it's likely in your lower back.
The issue with your increased gas and dry, itchy skin is very doubtfully tied to the pins & needles sensations you are getting. This sounds like a deficiency in water intake. Especially if you drink a lot of soda. If you do, I would suggest cutting down on your soda and highly increasing the amount of water you drink in a day. Slight dehydration will also cause diarrhea.
Hope this helps and hope you get to feeling better soon!

strange,--- i just went to doctor 2 weeks ago for that, in my hands though, they kept tingling, like they were asleep, they took lots of x-rays an blood tests, no results back yet, doctor thinks it may be a pinched nerve, son thinks its carpal tunnel, all guesses, the doctor thinks a possible blockage too but that involves another test. may have some answers tomorrow, good luck to you!!your other problems , i doubt ,have anything to do with your pins n needles, you really should see a doctor though to be sure an not go by someone else or guesses, , good luck!!
