Ahem, having seen the pope in person and being within ten feet of him as he drove past in the back of his vehicle, I can tell you for fact that the pope does NOT drive around in a bullet proof glass box. That was a precaution taken by his guard units after his being shot and when he visits countries which are hostile to catholicism.

uh, no. Chippy, do you remember when Pope John Paul 2 was shot? That's why they have the bullet proof glass on the popemobile. Not because they don't believe in God, but because a bullet doesn't care who you are. Before some idiot decided to shoot the pope, they had no bullet proof glass on the car, it was open to the elements. All it took was one guy with a gun to ruin that.

And, if you care, the pope forgave the man who shot him. If I recall right, John Paul 2 even visited his would-be assassin and forgave him in person.

Matthew 4:5-7 states:

Then the devil took him to the holy city, and made him stand on the parapet of the temple, and said to him, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written: 'He will command his angels concerning you and 'with their hands they will support you, lest you dash your foot against a stone.'"

Jesus answered him, "Again it is written, 'You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test.'"

The Pope likewise uses his God-given common sense and does not put God to the test.

With love in Christ.

Hes got too much power for a man who believes in Jesus

Jesus didnt even have proper clothes on man, he was that humble.

The bullet proof stuff dont bother me at all...thats just basic protection.

And any man has the right to protect his own life.

But...its the embellishments, the rings, the gold, the long kingly caftans and a whole lot of power...thats what bothers me about a man who considers himself a messenger on behalf of God.

Godly behaviour is completely the opposite of all that...you cant feign royalty and say youre for God 100%

Good point - when Pope JP got shot and it barely missed his heart, he had the audacity to say that God's hand guided the bullet to a non-lethal spot! HA!!! If there was truly a God, he would have deflected the bullet from hitting his earthly representative...

Paid to fake belief in a deity is correct Chippy....

If you have any brains, which doesn't seem likely, you would remember that one before him got shot and near killed, its called being smart. Just like presidents don't drive in open cars anymore since the Kennedy assassination.

Pope jon paul II clearly demonstrated that popes are not protected by god. But then, evidence never meant anything in christianity, did it?

Yeah. I cannot believe people actually get on their knees and kiss his ring. If I do not do it for God then I sure as Hell will not do it for any man. Get some self-respect.
