Has anyone ever met someone who you fell in love with and that love stuck with you through the years? even through all of your relationships you still loved this person? and did you eventually just let them stay in your heart without harming ur relationships? ever get over them? how?

i did like 2 years ago and i still care and for awhile i couldnt even date anyone but i still love him but i dotnlet it effect my relationships anymore he is happy and has moved on and i feel that if he is then i should so thats what im doing

I know what you mean.... I have this guy whos been in my life for 16 years so long that theres is no other person no matter what will have my heart the way he does... We have a song " My Boo " by usher and Alicia keys... He was my 1st kiss and my 1st everything, but hes in school in Memphis, Tn and hes going to the NFL draft in April... But I've had different relationships and hes known all about them and has never not once told me that he would make me happy when he makes it in the NFL... He has a dargther with someone and he even named his baby girl after me and shes now 6 .... Yeah I love him with all my heart and i will always, but we cant be together...

i never did,he still haunts my heart still,in a gud way though.its real hard,i know im experiencin the same issue,i love him we started going out in 2001 till 2004,nw im in my 1st year in varsity an he in his 3rd,same campus,i see him somtym around school & talk to him over the phone,he is single nw & i got som1,i cant go back,he didnt do anythn bad or hurt me but en since i was younger i was insecure so i let him go,but every now & en i love him more.i love my presnt dude but not more than him.mayb u can be brave & act up on your love & go 4 dat love of yours if u aint in any serious relationship.or just be friends lyk me & him,u can sure be frands,gud luk

I had a gf in middle school. I love her till this day. My wife knows about her and other people i had crushes on. It doesnt hurt her because she knows that everyone never forgets their first love. People never forget their love so its fine to have a little place in ur heart.

Sometimes the "memories" will be sweeter than the "reality"..you have to decide if it's worth the risk....you may have both grown in such different directions that it would not work now...sometimes bringing old fantasies to life never live up to their expectations...

yes i have i have loved him throughtout all my relationhips,and have never gotten over him even though he died 10 yrs ago in an accident i guess i`ll always love him until the day i die and still think of him everyday
