Hi marinewife. I don't think it's a fad to deny Jesus. I just think the fact that people deny Jesus is reflective of how lost we as humans are. There is tons of archeological evidence to support the fact that Jesus lived, walked the Earth, and died to save sinners. The best way you can save lost souls is to live like Jesus. Always be good to your fellow man, forgive those who curse you, and LOVINGLY spread the Gospel. There are too many Christians who try to spread the Word in a contempt, judgmental manner. Imagine how helpless and sad Jesus felt on the cross. You are not alone, sister. The fact that you feel helpless and sad is going to ultimately strengthen your faith. Also, you can do nothing apart from Jesus, so you can not save lost souls on your own. You can only do so through the power of the Lord. Be steadfast and keep praying. God Bless you.

If rational thinking is a fad, then I hope it catches on and becomes a permanent feature of human culture. Take your question, for example: you have made a number of irrational intellectual leaps based upon the dogma of your religion.

There is no scientifically valid data to prove the historical existence of Jesus, the reality of a supernatural being such as a god, nor the reality of a thing called a "soul." Reason and science will always provide a much more accurate and useful understanding of reality and how best we can live in it than the archaic dogmas and superstitions created by primitive men in the past.

You need not feel sorry or helpless for those who have used their minds to embrace reality as it is. Nor must you feel sorry for yourself. You are not helpless. Use your mind. THINK. It is the single most important thing that the authorities in your life DON'T want you to do.

A fad? No. In the sense that it is not being done because it is regarded as fashionable or hip. But yes, Jesus is being denied by what would apppear be an ever increasingly large number of people. It disgusts me, and I was raised without religion of any sort, not a trace of it in any way shape or form. But the arrogance and immorality of those all around me has become so bothersome that I have realized I need to get right with God if I really wish to distinguish myself from the people I so despise. Then I realize that I should not harbor such disdain for people, simply their ways and actions, so I definitely need the Lords help.

No it's tot a fad. A fad is something that comes and goes. Fortunately Atheism is a trend not a fad. a trend is a curve that makes a permanent change in society like when men stopped wearing hats back in the mid 20th century. people are now turning to Atheism because they realize this is the only true way to go. People are tiring of fantasy. and feel there is no longer any reason for it.

You can't save something that doesn't exist. Stop wasting your time on mumbo jumbo. There is no soul, there is no god, Jesus was a person like me our you. When you give up your religious fantasy, you will stop feeling sad and helpless. Go to college, get some education, preferrably in a science discipline. If you truly want to help people, get an engineering degree and go build a dam or a water or sewer system in the poor underdevelped nations. Become a doctor and administer medicine to dying people in Africa.

I do, too. It is very sad. I think that people are slowly loosing their faith. Not everyone is brought up to believe in God, and many people doubt his existence. All you can do is keep believing and tell others to believe. Whether they do or not is beyond your control, but the Lord is there for anyone who believes in him. I didn't realize that there were that many atheists out there until I joined answers. The country is the worst it has ever been in regards to religion. They want to take God out of schools, our constitution, television, I could go on and on. Keep the faith and pray for the lost souls. God Bless

I want to save your soul because I know that the good news is belief in the Tooth Fairy. If you don't believe then you're going to the wicked witch of the west and she is going to bake you and eat you and after that you are reborn and she bakes you again.Jesus is a phony.Just like all the other faiths.Only the Tooth Fairy is real! And anyone who says different doesn't know the truth and therefor is wrong.I feel helpless and sad for people who can't embrace my beliefs. So I will first try to tell them how much the Tooth Fairy loves them and if that doesn't work I will tell them what awaits them when they die.

You can't be serious.
Are you not aware that there are plenty of people out there who do not subscribe to your superstitions? If wacky beliefs are presented, it is inevitable that there will be people out there who are going to say "I don't believe in that stuff." The Bible did a crackpot job of covering its own @ss, but any critical reader can catch it.

You can feel sad and helpless for us atheists all you want, but we're returning the sentiment.

What can you do to save my soul...
1) Don't even think about trying to convert me.
2) If your really desperate, I'd prefer if you flipped a coin for me rather than prayed.
3) Think about whether you believe in Thor, Odin, Zeus, Hermes and Vishnu. If you don't, why not? That's the same reason I don't believe in your God.

I don't think it's a fad but with so many different religions advertised now I think it makes people really question everything.
