I have negatives from a 35mm camera, is there a way that a film developer can transfer these to a computer floppy drive or flash drive. I do not have a scanner so could a film processor do this?

Alot of the newer Kodak Image Maker machines are now capable of reading a negative and converting it to a positive image that you can burn to a disk. There's a slot to put them in, just like you would a memory card, and you can edit the positive on the screen. And I love those machines because you can do it yourself and make whatever changes you want. Good luck!

Yes they do that at most photo printing & devoloping stores, but they charge a bit too. If you have lots of Pictures you're better of to buy a 35mm scaner. Ours costed about $800 but it was deffinitely worth it!!! Then there are cheaper scanners as well ...if you are thinking about enlargning & editing. I'd recomend a Nikon Cool Scan V ED. Up to 4000 dpi. Good Luck!

the best way to copy your negatives to computer is to have them transferred to a disk at a local developer. try wal mart or walgreens first , if they don't do it then try a professional camera and film location such as wolf camera or any local pro camera shop

Yes, this can be done. I believe that the Kodak machines that do do it, give you low quality copies. If you are looking for high quality photos, check your yellow pages for a professional lab. You may want to call them first and find out what kind of charges it would be for what you're looking for. I know that it can get pretty pricey.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Yes, a film processor can do this. Give them a call before you make the trip.

Yes, they can be scanned in as their positive image. I have a Epson scanner that will do it.
