Your body can be represented (and is physically approximated) by a 100 picoFarad capacitor. You have the capability to hold 100 pF of charge at voltages that can exceed several kiloVolts! That can produce a strong electric field, and if the 'wall' is made of non-conductive material of low dielectric constant, then that static electric field can be detected through wall.

As for electro-magnetic fields, there are some very small electric currents that flow in nerves (brain, nerve cells), but they are so small that they are next-to-impossible to detect away from the body, much less through walls. Some very expensive, sensitive equipment would be needed to remotely measure any bodily e-m fields.
