Jesus is God. He became a man for a short time to pay the penalty for the sin that was brought into the world by the first man, Adam. The righteousness of God demands a penalty for sin. The Bible says that, " The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. " It would have been impossible for a sinful man to take on the sins of the world, therefore a perfect man had to suffer and die to take the punishment that God required. Suffering is an outgrowth of love. If you love someone, eventually you will suffer for it. God loves us and doesn't wish that any should perish. That's why God had to suffer in the form of Jesus.

Good question. It's actually asked quite often. I'll try to make it simple. God is three in one. He is our almighty Creator, the Holy Spirit, and the Son. Jesus was God in the flesh. Man altogether is God's son, and that's what Jesus was. The reason he had to suffer is Satan. When Satan fell, the world became his. The only way God could have redeemed us was by blood, so he sent His Son. I'm sure it wasn't in God's best interest, but it had to be done. If there's anything I didn't answer just let me know, and I'd be glad to get to it.

God Bless,
Caleb :)

Jesus had to suffer for us so that we would have a way to be able to be with GOD, Jesus was GOD in the flesh and was GODS son in the fact that he was conceived from the HOLY SPIRIT. Jesus had to suffer so that there would be a bridge across the great divide that seperated us from GOD. He gives us a choice whether or not we believe that he is the one that did this. GOD can not look upon sin that is why GOD turned his back on jesus when he was on the cross. Jesus cried out, "Father why hath thou forsaken me" people there at the cross actually hear these words. We all will not go to heaven, you have to accept Jesus as your personal lord and saviour and take up your cross and follow him,

Yes, Jesus is the SON of GOD. Read Colossians 1:15 "(Jesus) is the first born of all creations."

God's purpose was not for people to live in Heaven. He created the angels for that. He created humans to live on Earth and make the whole earth a Paradise.

Why did God allow his Son to suffer? That's how much God love the human creation. We needed salvation from the curse that Adam brought upon us. Adam was a perfect man who compromised our perfection and our salvation. To gain it back, a perfect man had to die as a ransom sacrifice from our sins. God's son, Jesus was the only Perfect Man. That also shows how Jesus, our Savior love us. He could have asked his Father to send one of his angles to come down to Earth as the perfect man and die for mankind but Jesus didn't. Shows you how Jesus wanted to Please his Heavenly Father. We should be doing the same!

Jesus is the son of God, who was sent to earth to teach us how to live. If you are a believer then you can call God your father. In that concept, think about this. When your kids act disrespectfull to you does it not hurt you? So it hurts our Father in heaven when we are disrespectfull. Jesus had to die because we are sinners and those who heard him at that time did not believe he was sent from God. But, if we believe and do our best to live the way God wants us to, then we will go to heaven for eternity. We are here on earth now to bring others to that belief and that is how we are supposed to live. Granted, Christians are not perfect, but if we were we would not have needed Jesus to die for us.

How could God just take us all to heaven? Most people on earth do not believe in Him. should non believers go to heaven?

Everything that has happened and that is about to happen is all being used by God for the benefit of his people. God gave us a free will so we have an option of what to believe and how to live.

If you are a true believer then you have the Holy Spirit in you. At this time ONLY, will you understand the BIble. Until then, non believers will not understand the Bible because they let santa direct their lives and actions. Satan will tell you everything he can to get you to not believe the truth.

Yes I've thought of this before. I will take on the answer of a person who believes both (the idea of the trinity). God had to come into human flesh so he could show the strength of his spirit to humanity and satisfy the needs humans have to be understood by actually being tempted in the same ways they are. God could just bring us all to heaven but he wishes to see if the suffering that he went through would be believed by those he suffered for.... if you want to know about the trinity ask another question.

God sent His Son to die for the sins of the world. Only Holy people can go to heaven. We can't go to heaven with our sins or our sinful nature. The people of the O.T. were required to offer sacrifices to atone for their sins until Christ died for everyone. That was to show their faith in the promise of the coming savior. We have the words of Christ to live by now so we don't need the sacrifices anymore. The animals suffered for the peoples sins before Christ came. Then the Son of God suffered for the sins of everyone at the Crucifixion.

God is an orderly God. God set up absolutes for His earth.
Adam and Eve had a perfect world with God, but they disobeyed God. When they disobeyed they died or the eyes of their soul was opened so they could die and know sin which is knowing right from wrong. Before they disobeyed they were always right with God and not knowing wrong. Before they disobeyed they had eternal life with God and all was perfect. After they disobeyed they lost eternal life and became dead in their sins.

Because of Adam, Eve, you and me God had to empty Himself and come to the earth as a baby, grow up, teach His Father's Word and go to the cross. The reason Jesus God's Son had to suffer was because God was the only sinless Son of God. The Bible says it pleased God to bruise Jesus for us. Because only Jesus could set us back on course to receive eternal life again with God. God triumphed over Satan when He won victory over Satan at the cross. Because of Adam and Eve we belonged to Satan, but because of Jesus Christ we belong to God if we believe on Jesus whom God sent. Jesus was so emptied of God as a human that He felt pain and He understood what horror would happen to Him by the beatings and on the cross.

The recent question - who killed Jesus has a simple answer and that is God killed Jesus because only God can kill God. It pleased God to bruise and kill that portion of Him, but on the third day He arose. Jesus said, "I have the power to lay down my life and I have the power to take it back up."

God could stop all the suffering today, but in our suffering we become strong. Think about that.

God did not let Jesus suffer. He saw Jesus being crucified and told him that it he cried out in pain one more time then he would end all life so out of love for us Jesus held his tongue " Father forgive them...they know not what they do" Jesus died for our sins, washed away in the blood of Christ. Read the Bible...its all in there honey.
