I was at a job interview. They wanted to give me the results by phone but because I don't have a phone number (I'm in between numbers) I ofered to call them at a date convenient for them. They said they'll e-mail me the result today and I should call tomorrow. Now, the result was that I didn't got the job. Should I still call them?

Yes, I think you should call. You may thank them for their time, tell them you are sorry and that you have a great interest in the job and the company. Ask them how you can improve for the next time and if you can do some thing to fit better the profile they require.
It might help you for the next time, wether in this or another company. If you show genuine interest they might take you in account for upcoming positions... and one never knows, their candidate might turn down their offer in this one.

i've got faith following up on an interview shows the potential corporation you're very attracted to working for his or her corporation. in my opinion he could call and thank them for the interview. He could then ask the place they're in the potential of hiring somebody to fill the region. Praying for all of you, Geri! :-)

No, you don't need to call them.
Unless you think there's a good chance of getting the next job or a future job.

I would still call or at least email them back. You never know when they might have another job available. If you don't get back with them, they might take that as a negative.

yes, call and thank them for the opportunity. you could have been the runner up and the frontrunner may end up turning down the job.

You can, if you'd like to know why you didn't get the job. Be polite, thank them for their time.

But it's not a necessity.

If they have already made their decision, I wouldn't bother calling.

No. You can reply to the e-mail that you received it, that's all that's necessary.
