I've just been in an accident with my 2004 jetta. Back glass busted and right back side crumpled. How can i sell it or donate it for good money. What are my options.

People, I thought the question was simple but obviously it wasn't. The car is not total. I had full coverage on it and my insurance have come in to adjust it and i've been given what they think will fix up the car. I just want to sell up the wreck car. I need some shops that will pay good money for the car to make it fore parts e.t.c or i'm i better off donating it.

PBS/NPR or some charity will take it. If the motor and stuff works, just buy the parts and fix it, drive it till it dies. Go to a salvage yard, ask the owner how much for the rear half of that car. Then ask them how much is the whole car worth. Doesn't sound that bad, is fixable if the frame is not crumpled up. Many trade schools can use it to fix up and learn about auto repair. If you want alotta $ part it out. may take 3 years, but people will eventually buy anything that is for sale, it is what we were taught to do in school.

First of all, have you met with your insurance claims adjuster yet? There is a chance that the damage is not too extensive and the car can be repaired. If the accident was your fault you will be responsible for all costs. If that just isn't doable right now, I suppose you could always donate it to the Salvation Army, which will pick up your car as long as it's still driveable and only in need of minor body damage repaired. If they won't take it, you could try selling or donating it to an automotive college or auto shop at a local high school. They are always looking for cars to learn to repair. My question is, why would you rather donate your car to a good cause than shell out some money to repair it? You'll still need a car, and my guess is that repairing your car will still be a lot cheaper than having to buy a brand-new one.

First, you'd better check with your auto insurance because if you don't fix the car, you may not be legally able to keep the "repair" money!!
Charities do not want a wrecked car. And the deduction you get is exactly what they can sell the car for, if they can sell it.
And, if you sell the car, even as is, you must tell the buyer about the accidents and the repairs required.
So, first check with your insurance company and if they say you can keep the money and sell the car, I would sell it AS IS FOR PARTS ONLY.

There are guys out there that love to buy wrecked cars and fix them . just put ad in newspaper, keep price reasonable, so car is worth fixing up for someone. Even with a salvage title someone will be interested in buying this car. I know because my husband and I do this kind of work. Good Luck!!

Is it totaled?
If the front end and interior is good, there are shops and salvage yards who will pay good money for wrecked cars. There are also a great deal of wrecked cars sold on ebay. That would be your best bet.

To get an answer you will have to give a lot more information. Who was at fault? Was there insurance coverage? Was it towed? If so, where? If you JUST had the accident, sit down for a bit until you are thinking a bit more clearly, then call and talk to your insurance agent about your options.
